MAX SCULPTING GEL

I used #16 for YEARS! This Max Sculping Gel has given me the worst case of dandruff I have ever had. I NEVER had dandruff with #16 Something has caused my head to break out with many bumps and red scalp along with terrible dandruff. This product is dangerous .

I respectfully disagree with your statements below. Something in the formula must have changed. The new Max sculpting gel is not even close to the Hardwear 16 and does not hold for more than 1-2 hours.

Horrible. Bring back my Hardware 16. This goo rates a zero. Bring back my Hardware 16

This "new packaging" is not the same formula as the hardwear 16. They say it is but it isn't. This new max sculpting gel is thinner and doesn't give the same amount of hold.

Very Bad! Nothing like 16 gel. We bought the 16 for over 12 years!!

Also, this gel has a nice, clean scent, and doesn't cause flaking, which is wonderful! It provides shine, and added thickness. I definitely recommend it!

It did make my hair slightly crunchy, but that is easily solved with scrunching the crunch out once it's dry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Redken Max Sculpting Gel that I received to try out was just okay. It has a pleasant smell to it when you open up the cap. It did not flake as it advertised on the container. My feedback would be that it didn't really hold up as well as some other gels that I have tried. I'm not sure what the price point will be but I have tried cheaper gels that have worked better. It did last the whole day which was another plus. If it was just a little firmer of a hold I think it would be worth buying. My rating of a 3 out of 5 was simply because I would buy it if the price point was good. Hold and shaping was average.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this on my wavy hair and wasn't impressed. It has a very thick constancy so it's difficult to get even coverage on all of your hair. It just stays on a glob at the top regardless of how much scrunching you do. I ended up with some pieces of hair looking wet and hard and others looking dry and frizzy. My hair felt crunchy and flaky by the end of the day. It's a decent product but definitely not worth the price.

But my children do use it, they love it, their hairstyle lasts all day, it smells great, it's not sticky and it comes off easily. I recommend it for curly and straight hair, it gives excellent results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have super fine hair with fly-aways! I received this from BzzAgent and tried this for an event I was going to. I did a top knot bun and used a touch to slick back my front and neaten up my fly-aways. It worked great! It gave it some shine without looking greasy and did not get that straw-like look most gels give my hair. I love the smell too. The key is just using a touch with a spritz of water. Lasted all day.

I like that you can control your hair with this gel. Not like other products that I tried that leaves your hair stiff. I also use it to slick my hair back into a ponytail or bun.

I hate in the winter time when I have lots of static in my find long hair. I decided to use this product to help with the static and help style my hair. I love how this product dried quickly and made my hair look wonderful, and ended up taking the static out of it at the same time. this product was also great to take my straight hair and make it curly for when I wanted to dress it up a little bit.

I have fine blonde hair, but using it before blow drying gave it hold, but I need to pull my round brush hard to get the product through the hair. I also tried it while my hair was wet for a slicked back use as suggested. I rubbed it in my hands and flipped my head over and scrunched my hair. It dried with a wet, wavy look that was not as crunchy as other gels I have used. Smelly was pleasant. If your sticking you hair back in a bun or sleek ponytail this works well at keeping fly aways at bay but it does dry shiny so your hair may look like it's dirty if it is a light color.

I feel like it makes my hair look a bit too shiny (almost greasy looking). I tried using less product but that did not work well either. May be better with thick hair but I do not suggest for anyone with thin or medium hair.

I usually air dry my hair or use a diffuser and have to lock in my curls with a gel or gel cream. This product smelled amazing but the gel iteself made my curls too crunchy and hard. I would have prefered a product similar to this but with a cream base or conditioner lotion in it so soften hair and keep it hydrated as I hate crunchy curls.
