All Soft Mega Curls Shampoo: Shampoo for Curly Hair

I have thick waivy long hair and this shampoo has been amazing for my hair! Because my hair is thick and will get frizzy if i blow dry it, I cant wash my hair very ofter. But with this shampoo I am able to wash more ofter without being worried its going to get frizzy and dry.

I have thick, curly, and dry hair. We left the humidity of the South and moved west to a low humidity area. Mt hair and skin have been challenged. I love the All Soft products and use them all regularly. Great product and a reasonable price.

Terrible, actually dries out my already dry hair. There is no “soft” in this product and my curls are limp.

I bought this product thinking it would suit my curly hair, but sadly it did not. When I used this shampoo on my hair, my hair fell out in clumps. I do not recommend this product for anyone with curly hair or anybody interested in this product.

Why oh why did they change the Recipe from1% to 2%. My hair used to really lather with the shampoo, as to now it feels like just a bunch of suds. It smells good, feels clean but not moisturized.

Curls looked great even after sleeping all night … never had that happen!

This is the best shampoo line. It thickens your hair and restores it to its natural curl. My boyfriend started using this line when he was showering at my house and it made a massive difference!

The new formula is drying!! Not moisturizing at all. The old formula was wonderful. Felt I’ve waisted my money

I am sooo disappointed that Redken has changed the formula! I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years! I had hoped this was merely a marketing renaming…..NOPE! The shampoo formula for All Soft Mega has completely changed. It is unbelievably drying, tangling, and frizz-causing…….The VERY thing they claim to fix! Ugh! PLEASE bring back the original thick, creamy, shiny formula! The only positive is that so far the conditioner and hydramelt leave-in have not changed……BUT, they just can NOT undue the damage caused by the shampoo. : (

Bring back the old formula with the milky creamy texture. This is not the same and not good.

I LOVED the original All Soft Mega. It left my severely dry, curly hair feeling clean and smooth, but not weighed down. All Soft Mega Curls is NOT nourishing for dry, curly hair. My hair feels like a tangled mat of plastic string after using this shampoo. I'm not sure why Redken changed a good thing. I wish they hadn't!!

I've got natural dry curly hair. I started using the all soft mega curls and my hair has been shedding alot more. Also no matter how I wash, the shampoo and conditioner always leaves my hair tangled! Not like a few tangles here and there either, I'm having to use a detangler and leave in conditioner to even half way brush through my hair. Definitely reconsider buying this product!

the product delivered the nice and light bouncy waves, however when using the shampoo and the conditioner along with the Hydra live is as directed- my hair was shedding more than usual. this was new for me using any Redken product. Took back to the store for another product.

The Mega Curls shampoo and conditioner dried my hair out as well. Smells and feels like a lesser quality product. Redken has discontinued products I have been really committed to three times in the last 10 years and left me looking for a replacement products elsewhere, disappointing. My sister said it dried her hair as well.

This new reformulation of the mega soft is a bummer. I was loyally using the original shampoo and conditioner. New shampoo has left my curly hair dry, thirsty and breaking. The original shampoo was creamy and nourishing. Now this new shampoo is harsh and strips your hair. I will be looking for a new curly girl shampoo/conditioner and really disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shampoo adds moisture to your hair without stripping it too bad, I love how it left my hair feeling. I have a sensitive scalp I noticed after using it for about a week and a half that I didn't have any sort of breakouts or issues with my scalp. I also have really thick hair and it's natural so it takes a lot of product even with shampoos and conditioners to get the desired results that the products promise. However with the shampoo it literally takes just a quarter size in the palm of my hand and I get a really nice lather out of it so for the price I feel like you're getting enough product. Overall I would definitely get this shampoo again I enjoyed using it and it definitely made my hair easier to work with after wash days.

It cleans fairly well, but it did feel slightly drying in the shower. With the combination of the matching conditioner, my hair came out soft. So no complaints.
